Sky View Academy is a school for children struggling with traditional school settings. The services and facilities offered at Sky View focuses towards preparing students to face challenges of life. The Sky View Academy educational resources help students to maximize their academic potential. Students can take advantage of our specialized academic curriculum under the guidance of our qualified and concerned staff.  We conduct regular seminars that help students a great deal to grow emotionally and personally as well.

Competency-Based Study Course

The education system at Sky View Academy is individualized and competency based. The academic curriculum includes core subjects of Mathematics, Science, English, and History along with appropriate electives. Before moving forward, students are supposed to demonstrate mastery in subjects. Weak students are taken care of in a special way so that they can come up to the level of other students. No tuitions are required since staff helps students complete their home work. Our training classes are very effective and help students develop a dynamic personality.

Computer Assisted Curriculum

Through our advanced computerized curriculum, students can benefits in a great way. Each classroom is well equipped with 26 computer systems for students and teachers. All the classes are accessed through a common server. I-Net library or web based library is provided to gather useful information for research. Students love to learn through computer-generated text books and we also have textbooks if students need them. SVA is working with the Nevada Community College System to offer dual credits for our juniors and seniors.

Sky View Academy Educational Resources

Ample computers, interactive classrooms, web based research system and modern education channels help students to stay up date with current world affairs. TV’s, DVD and VHS capabilities are provided in every classroom.

The Mineral County Library has collaborated with Sky View Academy that allows our students to access over 30,000 volumes of books. The students can view a printed list from the web site and can choose their favorite books for reading. This helps them to develop a reading habit and improve vocabulary and reading skills.
